Garlic bread, coffee & Chocolat

Mission in the rural part of Cornwall – like many other areas of Britain – has interesting challenges. Many of them will not be any different to mission in the rest of the country other than the distance between chapels is much larger.

How do we ‘do church’ when the traditional landmarks are no longer there? The families who always maintained the faith communities and buildings may have gone. The buildings themselves have probably become second homes.

This weekend, I’m leading a seminar called Garlic bread, coffee & Chocolat which looks at creative ways of taking the Good News of Jesus into rural communities. I’ll say more next week.
